Winston Knowles

BROOKFIELD—Winston G. Knowles, 64, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at his home on the Northfield Road. He was born in Northfield August 7, 1942, the son of Gerald and Florence (Sprague) Knowles. He attended Brookfield and Northfield Schools.

He married Carol Stover in Brookfield on June 7, 1980.

He was a logger and farmer his entire working career. He enjoyed woodworking, attending garage sales and Nascar Racing.

Survivors iclude his wife, Carol, of Brookfield; his mother, Florence Knowles of Barre; three sons: Ricky Lee Knowles of Barre, Scott Knowles of Franklin, and Steven Knowles of Barre; two daughters, Lisa Burns of Barre and Lori Knowles of Orlando, Fla; two stepchildren, Theresa Lovejoy of Montpelier and Glenn Stover of Barre; one brother, Paul Knowles of Florida; two sisters, Rosa Johnson of Barre and Phyllis Hussy of Barre; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a few nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Brookfield Center Cemetery in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Berlin, VT 05641. Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield assisted in the arrangements.
