The Randolph Singers will present their annual holiday concert this Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph. One expects to hear music of the season at these concerts, and this year’s will be no exception. Many of the traditional pieces will have captivating new arrangements by Robert DeCormier, Stephen Paulus, and Gustav Holst, but what will be new and exciting is the piece by Ottorino Respighi, "Laud to the Nativity," with professional soloist Karen Lundry performing the lead solo. Adding to the appeal of the concert will be holiday music performed by the Randolph Elementary School chorus, led by Marta Borgstrom, and both the Randolph Junior and Senior High School choruses, led by Jen Moore. The Randolph Singers are directed by Piero Bonamico and accompanied by Tim Guiles. The group has a long local tradition which continues to grow under the able and creative leadership of Bonamico. This year’s concert has special appeal for families, and parents are urged to bring the entire family to this event. The Singers are currently selling raffle tickets to raise money to fund their concerts, and during the concert there will be multiple drawings for the prizes offered. Tickets for the concert are available at Cover to Cover in Randolph or at the Chandler box office (728-6464). ____________ |
