As I drove to Tunbridge last Monday I saw "Rozo" signs all over. A few years ago Rozo asked me if I would make signs for her with a horse head on them. She needed them for her first run for State Rep. I made a few dozen. Later I made a batch of signs for her second run for Rep, smaller ones this time, and then I made even more of those; they were in demand, both by supporters and by a few non-supporters—I guess a few got snatched on occasion. Just recently I made 40 more of the smaller signs for this, her third run for the position. On my trip up Route 110, I saw all of the different vintages of Rozo signs along the road, old ones, new ones, big and small. The signs were meant to get her elected. Now, after Rozo's death, those signs stand for a whole lot more. They stand for Rozo, our dear friend, and the hard work she did for our community over the years, and her friendship and cheer and love; they stand for what her life has meant to so many of us. They now say, "Thank You Rozo." Randy Leavitt South Royalton |
