Marian I. Milner BERLIN, VT.—Marian I. Milner, 86, formerly of W. Lebanon, N.H., died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 at Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center, where she had lived since 2005. She was born October 24, 1919 in South Barre, the daughter of Orville and Abbie (Wilfore) Bushey. She attended Brookfield graded schools and Williamstown High School. She married Arthur V. Milner in 1947 in West Lebanon. He died in 1992. She lived in West Lebanon from 1947 until she moved to Lebanon in 1998. She worked in the communications department at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover for 30 years. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in West Lebanon, the American Legion Auxiliary Hartford Unit #26, and the V.F.W. Post #2571 Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for the Vermont Bureau of Tourism, the Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, the Upper Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Grafton County (NH) Senior Citizens Council. Survivors include her grand-niece, Kathleen Grange of Graniteville. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Carl Bushey, Sr.; and a sister, Ida Pelkey Richards. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated October 20 at Sts. Donatian & Rogatian Catholic Church in Randolph. Rev. John Milanese and Rev. Donald Roy were the co-celebrants. Johanna, John and Paul Mahaffey were the altar servers. Phyllis Hawley was the organist. Kathy Grange was the reader. The offertory gifts were presented by Debbie Gardner and Kathy Grange. Pall bearers were Perry Grange, Wayne Pelkey, Carl Bushey, Jr. and Bruce Gardner. Burial was at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. A reception followed in the church’s parish hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center, Patient Activity Fund, 98 Hospitality Dr., Barre, VT 05641.
