Is Rainville?

Martha Rainville claims that she will be an "independent voice" if elected to Vermont's Congressional seat, and yet Republicans in Washington call the shots in her campaign. Recently, the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee funneled over $400,000 into advertisements and other spending on Rainville's behalf. Some of this money is being spent to run a television commercial that attempts to place her in the company of respected politicians such as Senator Jim Jeffords, despite his strong objections.

Jeffords has asked the Republicans to pull the commercial. If Martha Rainville were truly independent she would respect his wishes and ask that it be pulled too instead of claiming that her hands were tied, unless they are, by Republicans in Washington.
