Rochester Honors Seniors

The Rochester boys lost to Chelsea, 2-1, at home in their third double OT game of the season.

Tanner Haskins put one up early for Rochester and the score was 1-0 at the half. Chelsea answered in the second half and put it away in the second overtime.

Senior Day

Half time was Senior Appreciation Day, an opportunity to honor the seniors. The Rockets’ seniors are Brian Dunbar, Lucas Pellitier, Cullen Haskins, and Ethan Lanpher. They were each addressed by Coach Brad Leathers and Athletic Director George Moltz. These guys will be missed next year. The Rockets now look forward to their meeting with rival Whitcomb.

TSA Hammers Rockets

Rochester was handed their seventh straight loss by The Sharon Academy on the road at Sharon.

Pelletier was red carded and benched early in the first half for an intentional hand ball to stop a goal. Since you can’t replace or sub for a player who is red carded, Rochester was down one player for the remainder of the game.

The team sustained two major injuries, one to Lanpher (tailbone), the other to keeper Liam McKinley (hamstring/knee), McKinley is out indefinitely. The Rockets were missing Haskins, and Dunbar, until the second half when they returned from taking SATs. By then it was too late, Rockets lost 7-0.
