Chelsea Boys
Win Three

The Chelsea boys played a tough game against Rochester last Thursday and came away with a 2-1 overtime victory. The Rochester Rockets had the first goal of the game, but in the second half Red Devil Joe Bonasera tied the game, 1-1.

When regulation time ended the game was still tied leading the teams into sudden death overtime, or next goal wins. It was Bonasera that struck again off a corner kick by Nate Dowlin that gave the Devils their fifth win of the season.

Chelsea’s keeper Sean McCarthy had many saves for the Chelsea Devils.

Win over Craftsbury

The Chelsea boys rolled over Craftsbury on Monday with eight different Red Devils scoring. The Chelsea boys tallied three goals in the first half and an impressive seven in the second, while Sean McCarthy and Andrew Richardson split time in goal.

Fullbacks Albert Childs and Nick Capobianco both scored their first varsity goals, Childs with one and Capobianco with two. Jesse Blondin and Pablo Leon had two goals each while Sean McCarthy, Zeb Allen, Jimmy Welch, and Nate Dowlin each added a goal of their own.

Win over Twinfield

The Chelsea boys had their sixth win of the season against Twinfield with a score of 3-0 on Tuesday.

The Devils’ goalie Sean McCarthy shut out the the Twinfield Trojans while Zeb Allen and Jimmy Welch each sent the ball to the goal, giving Chelsea the 2-0 advantage going into the half. Chelsea continued their tough defense and on the offensive end, Andrew Richardson tallied another goal for Chelsea, giving them a 3-0 victory over the Trojans.

The Chelsea boys ended their regular season with a five-game winning streak, improving their record to 7-7.
