The Randolph boys ended the season with a 5-6-3 record and will likely enter the playoffs as the #10 seed. Their first game this past week was a tough loss at U-32, on Friday the 13th! It was their second meeting in about a week. Because they were playing with no subs for most of the game and without several seniors, including their starting goalie, Randolph did not have it in them and lost 7-0. The Ghosts redeemed themselves against Oxbow in their last home game. With goals from Jon White, Alex Green, and two from Mike Czok, the boys blanked Oxbow 4-0 David Dubie recorded the shutout, in goal. Previous Games The Randolph boys lost against two tough teams in the previous week. Their first game was against top D-2 team U-32, on Oct. 7 Randolph played up to their level in the first half with strong play from their middies, but U-32 capitalized on one of their few first half scoring opportunities. In the start of the second half U-32 came out strong and Randolph had a defensive break down. The Raiders scored two goals in the first four minutes of play. After that Randolph picked it up again but were unable to score. The game ended with a score of 3-0, Raiders. On Tuesday, Oct. 10 Randolph played a strong D-1 team in Spaulding. Down with some injuries, Randolph did not come out strong and never got themselves up to the level of play they were used to. The game ended 2-0 in favor of Spaulding. ____________ |
