Buy Corliss Benefit
Tickets Today

A yummy chicken dinner, terrific auction items (including a Vermont Castings "Jefferson" stove,) good music, good fun, and a good cause.

What else do you need to know?

Well, if you’re planning the event, you need to know how many folks are coming.

The event is an October 22 dinner and auction to benefit Mark and Brenda Corliss of Randolph, who need some help catching up with their bills, following Mark’s serious work-related accident in July.

The fundraiser, a joint effort by Sambel’s Restaurant, Sherri’s Jubilee, and Karen and Wayne Warner’s Valley Bowl, gets underway at 1 p.m., this Sunday, Oct. 22, at the East Randolph Community Hall.

This week, Karen Warner urged folks not to wait to get their tickets, which are available at Fisher Auto Parts and Valley Bowl in Randolph, and at Sambel’s Restaurant in Berlin.

The Sambels, who are Karen’s parents, are donating the entire stuffed chicken breast dinner. They need to know, she pointed out this week, how many folks are coming so they know how much to purchase and prepare.

The Warners were the beneficiaries of a similar fundraiser last year that helped them to open Randolph’s new Valley Bowl. They are helping to organize this Sunday’s event to help the Corlisses, who are bowlers, "get back on their feet," financially.

Karen noted that donated auction items include a beautiful Jefferson direct-vent gas stove from Vermont Castings, and a six-foot high, two-door, metal "wardrobe" from Magee Office Products

"The big thing now is getting tickets (sold) so we know how many people will come and eat," she said.
