Lucy H. Brock

SOUTH ROYALTON—Lucy H. Brock, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

She was born February 19, 1928 in Barnard, the daughter of Eben and Lucy (Rouseau) Lewis. She attended the North Road School in Barnard and later Woodstock High School in Woodstock.

On Nov. 10, 1950 she married Gordon R. Brock of South Royalton. They lived most of their married life in South Royalton. She worked for over 20 years as a machinist at G. W. Plastics in both Randolph and Bethel.

She was a member of American Legion Post #26 and VFW Post #2571 Auxiliary in White River Jct. She enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, bowling, gardening, dancing, bird watching and attending adult daycare in Royalton. Her great love was for her family and attending their sporting events She later attended games to watch many of the local kids play.

Survivors include her husband of South Royalton; four sons: Gordon I. Brock and Norris Brock, both of Tunbridge; and Paul Brock and Michael Brock, both of South Royalton; four daughters: Merry Rogers and Gloria Kinnarney, both of South Royalton; Lucy Blanchard of Hartford, and Bonnie Pettit of Royalton; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters: Barbara Osmer of Hanover, N.H.; Agnes Barr of South Woodstock, Monica Hansen of Maynardville, Tenn.; and Constance Hart of Barnard. And several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by a brother, Cecil Lewis; a sister, Mary Bumps and a granddaughter, Jessica Brock.

Calling hours were held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home, Chelsea. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Branch View Cemetery in South Royalton.
