Maebell McCrillis

ROYALTON—Maebell "Pip" McCrillis, 15, died suddenly Monday, March 10, 2003 at the home of her caregivers, Sheila and Bob Quillia, in Royalton.

She was born July 20, 1987 in Tunbridge, the daughter of Jeffrey B. McCrillis and Kimberly Lewis.

Her life was full of challenges, but mostly an over abundance of love and laughter from all who knew her. She loved unconditionally with a pure and honest heart. She enjoyed the simple things in life, listening to music, being read to, having her hair played with, nails painted, Elmo, going to Walt Disney World, long walks outdoors and the touch of caring hands.

She could make people smile easily with the smallest giggle or biggest grin. Maebell will be forever in the lives of the people that knew her because she will be forever in their hearts. Many people that knew, loved or worked with Maebell always seemed to go above and beyond to make her life the best it could be, one day at a time. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Kimberly Lewis and Bobbie Joe Tibbits of Enfield Center, N. H.; her father, Jeffrey B. McCrillis of Tunbridge; two sisters, Felicia McCrillis of Tunbridge and Amanda Flanagan of Roxbury; her paternal great-grandmother, Muriel Wagoner of White River Jct.; paternal grandparents, Charles "Bud" and Phyllis McCrillis of Tunbridge; maternal grandmother, Jean Lewis of Roxbury; several aunts, uncles, cousins and the caring, loving Quillia family in Royalton, where she spent the last few months.

A funeral service was held Friday, March 14, at the Beth-El Christian Fellowship Church in South Royalton, with Pastor David Wright officiating. The bearers were Aaron Moses, Clay Tucker, Pat Brennan, Dan Mullen, and Jeff McCrillis. Family and friends were invited to attend fellowship after the service which was hosted by the church family.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home in Chelsea.
