Edith Blanchard

Bethel—Edith H. Blanchard, 84, of Bethel, died Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2003 at the Brookside Nursing Home in White River Junction.

She was born Aug. 6, 1918 in Gaysville, the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Robinson) Howard. She was raised in Stockbridge, and attended Ranney School, graduating from Whitcomb High School in Bethel.

She married Hector Blanchard Sept. 10, 1949 in Bethel. He died in 1957.

She enjoyed dancing, and was a lifetime Stockbridge-Bethel area resident.

Survivors include her sisters: Esther Merrill of Bethel, Eunice Lampher of Bradford, and Ethel Hill of Cromwell, Conn. and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Earl and Walter, and two sisters, Prudence Graziano and Mary Goodrich.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 22nd at 11 a.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, with Rev. Steve Ellis, officiating. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Stockbridge.
