Steven and Vicki French will be taking it a little easier after March 26. On that date, they will have a closing on Jefferson’s Market in Royalton Village and hope their seven-day-a-week responsibilities will end. Donna and Stanley Woodard of Tunbridge will be the store’s new owners. The store will be closed March 27 for inventory. After that, it will be closed for nine days for alterations. The Woodards plan to re-open on April 5. The "new" store will have a deli, hot soup every day, a hot entrée every day and a bakery license. The name of the store will stay the same and plans are to be open 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. six days a week and Sundays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be one full-time employee in addition to Donna. On June 3 this year it would have been 18 years in business for Steve and Vicki French and they extend their thanks to everyone for their patronage. Steve will continue working for Priority Express and Vicki will return to nursing. ____________ The So. Royalton Woman’s Club is planning a roast pork supper March 29 at the United Church from 5-7 p.m. complete with homemade rolls and pies. ____________ |
