Flower Boxes

In past summers several businesses, among them Randolph National Bank, Northfield Savings Bank, Blue Moon, Lupine’s Restaurant and others, have enhanced the downtown area with flower boxes in front of the their business places.

Regrettably the Ben Franklin store persists upon putting unattractive metal containers with ticky-tacky plastic merchandise for sale in front of their store. In conversation about a year and a half ago with the management of Ben Franklin I was told that they had flower boxes on order, but they would not be available for the summer of 1999.

Here’s hoping that the summer of 2001 will find Ben Franklin and all our other merchants enhancing the beauty of our downtown area with flower boxes.
